The Rosalie Whyel Museum of Doll Art is dedicated to the collection, preservation, exhibition and interpretation of dolls as an art form. The collection has an extraordinary scope, breadth and quality, even by international standards. Exhibits feature over 1250 dolls on permanent display ranging from antique to modern, along with teddy bears, miniatures, costumes, and other childhood memorabilia. They focus on the history of doll making as well as the artistry of the dolls themselves. Vignettes and displays illustrate the social and cultural significance of dolls, along with their nostalgic appeal. The Museum has a changing gallery in addition to the permanent gallery that changes three times a year.
